Purpose of Job: Acting as first point of contact you are responsible for preparation and delivery of breakfast for hotel guests. You are responsible for providing a warm, friendly and courteous welcome to our customers and ensuring standards are consistently achieved.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· Supervise all Restaurant Breakfast operations.
· Knowledge of menu content and menu changes.
· Ensure all Team Members are impeccably presented and adhere to the correct uniform standards.
· Evaluate the performance of the Team ensuring the highest standards of service are given at all times.
· Set-up of the Restaurant in accordance with the pre-determined standards of the operation.
· Ensure the Restaurant /Still Room areas are kept clean and tidy.
· Assist management with training of team members.
· Ability to multitask and take on extra responsibilities when required.
· Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
· Manage any lunch functions/bookings if required in any F&B outlet
· Must be flexible and willing to work in other F&B Departments/other shifts such as Duty Management shifts if and when required to meet the needs of the business.
Health & Safety duties:
· To fulfil your obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1989 and any revisions or additional legislation made thereto.
· To ensure that reasonable care is taken for health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the premises.
· To keep work areas tidy and safe and report any hazard, loss or damage to management.
· To be aware of trained first-aid personnel on the premises and the location of first aid box.
· To observe all safety rules and procedures, including those laid down in the Health & Safety Statement.
· To carry out and promote fire and accident/other safety drills as directed by the hotel safety officer.
· To participate in all Health and Safety training scheduled for you and your team.
· To inform Management immediately in the event that you are personally involved in any accident or incident on the hotel grounds or if you are witness to an accident or incident involving a third party.
About this role
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Previous experience as a team leader or supervisor in a busy 4-star environment.
The ability to prioritise and delegate work whilst also providing training and support.
Flexibility with regards to hours of work
Good command of the English language – written as well as spoken.
Excellent self-presentation, be standards driven and detail-orientated.
The ability to handle demanding situations and work well under time constraints.
