About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and practical Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Talacre Beach Resort, one of Darwin Escapes’ beautiful holiday destinations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a hands-on approach who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys problem-solving. In this role, you will support the day-to-day maintenance and repair of park facilities, accommodation, and equipment, helping to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our guests.
This is a varied and active role, suited to someone who is proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, with flexibility required to work variable days, including weekends and bank holidays, in line with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the park, including holiday accommodation and facilities
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
Conduct routine checks and inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems
Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating tasks where required
Ensure all facilities are safe, functional, and well-presented at all times
Support planned and preventative maintenance programmes
Assist with setting up and maintaining guest facilities and amenities
Respond to urgent maintenance issues when required
Participate in the park’s call-out rota, providing support outside of normal working hours where required
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
Work collaboratively with other departments to support the overall guest experience
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a maintenance or similar role is desirable
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or general building maintenance
Practical, hands-on skills with the ability to solve problems efficiently
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
A flexible and proactive approach to work
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Commitment to maintaining high standards
Willingness to participate in a call-out rota where required

Additional Information:
This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week at Talacre Beach Resort.
The role requires flexibility to work variable days, including weekends and bank holidays, in line with business needs. The successful candidate will also be required to participate in the park’s call-out rota, where applicable. Call-outs undertaken outside of normal working hours will be eligible for the relevant paid call-out allowance, in accordance with company policy.
The role may involve physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and the use of maintenance tools and equipment.
