Clinical Deputy Manager

Are you an experienced Deputy Manager with a strong clinical background and a passion for delivering exceptional care? Chestnut Manor Care Home is looking for a confident and compassionate Clinical Deputy Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced deputy who is ready to play a key leadership role within the home, working alongside the Home Manager to ensure residents receive the highest standards of care, support and dignity.

40 hours per week | Full-time | Permanent

As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home

  • Lead, supervise and inspire the nursing and care teams

  • Provide strong clinical leadership and guidance

  • Oversee care planning and clinical standards

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and policies

  • Support staff recruitment, training and development

  • Complete and oversee clinical audits, including medication and care plans

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals

  • Act as a role model for high-quality care and effective leadership

  • Support the Home Manager and take responsibility for the home in their absence

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Qualification as a Registered General Nurse with a current and valid NMC pin number
  • A minimum of 3 years management experience within a care home setting
  • Strong clinical skills with an understanding of CQC requirements, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, HSE (Health & Safety Executive) requirements and other relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication with a positive, flexible and innovative attitude
  • Well organised with the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated to make a difference
