Responsibilities
The Bartender’s key purpose is to ensure that all guests of the hotel receive service of the highest standard. The Bartender plays a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere while delivering exceptional beverage service. They are also responsible for ensuring the bar operates safely, hygienically, efficiently, and within budget. The bar team supports and works in partnership with all other departments, ensuring all standards and guest expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
To prepare and set up the bar area before service, ensuring all stock, equipment and garnishes are available and ready for use.
To accurately take drink and food orders and communicate these effectively to relevant colleagues and departments.
To provide exceptional customer service to guests within the bar, restaurant, function rooms, outdoor dining areas and other designated service locations.
To ensure the bar, storage areas, glassware and equipment are kept clean, organised and hygienic at all times.
To follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and licensing regulations.
To ensure all orders, bills, tabs and dockets are accurately entered into the point-of-sale system and processed correctly.
To ensure all sales, cash, card transactions and guest tabs are accurately accounted for and balanced before completing each shift.
To assist with stock control, stock rotation, deliveries and reporting any shortages or discrepancies to management.
To maintain a thorough knowledge of beverage menus, cocktails, wines, spirits and promotions in order to advise and assist guests effectively.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Resilient and capable of working under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Good knowledge of beverage service, cocktails, wines and spirits.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Previous bartending or hospitality experience is an advantage.
Cash handling experience and the ability to accurately process payments and balance tills is desirable.
