About the role:
We're looking for a Chef to join our team at Hawkchurch Resort & Spa on a permanent, full-time basis, working 40 hours per week.
As a Chef, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality food and exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Working as part of a friendly and professional kitchen team, you'll prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard while maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety,and cleanliness standards.
You'll bring passion, creativity, and attention to detail to every service, helping us provide delicious food and memorable experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to consistently high standards
Work as part of the kitchen team to deliver an efficient and professional service
Follow menus, recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards at all times
Ensure kitchen areas, equipment, and workstations are kept clean, organised, and safe
Assist with food preparation and stock rotation
Monitor food quality and ensure dishes are served at the correct temperature and presentation
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
Follow company procedures, food safety regulations, and brand standards consistently
Assist with stock control and ordering where required
Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for our guests
Support other areas of the kitchen as required
What we're looking for:
Previous experience working as a Chef within a professional kitchen
A passion for producing high-quality food and delivering excellent guest experiences
Good knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety, and kitchen best practices
The ability to work effectively as part of a busy kitchen team
The ability to remain organised and calm during busy service periods
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A positive, reliable, and flexible approach to work
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
Experience with stock control and food preparation processes is desirable
Relevant food hygiene qualifications are desirable
