We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our Hotel Reception Team at The Stormont Hotel.

This is a part time position and the successful candidate can expect to work 28 hours per week (excluding breaks), four shifts out of seven including weekends. Hours vary, but typical shift patterns include 7am to 3pm, 10am to 6pm, and 3pm to 11pm.
The salary for this position is £19,656 per annum, paid weekly, which is pro-rata the full-time equivalent salary of £24,570.

About this role
To meet and greet guests at the hotel ensuring an efficient, professional, and friendly check in/out process.
To be knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and the amenities and attractions in the locality.
To be aware of all hotel services and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
To check guests in on arrival and check them out at the end of their stay, ensuring that the correct procedures are followed for receiving payment.
To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes.
To balance bank, cash, foreign currency and all transactions at the end of your shift.
To answer telephone calls from guests and external callers.
To assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services
Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution or escalate where required.
To ensure that the reception area is maintained in a clean and tidy manner in accordance with departmental standards.
Report any technical and maintenance needs.
To ensure the security of reception and storage areas is maintained.
To comply with all health, safety, hygiene and licensing policies and procedures.
To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all staff are treated with respect.
Any other duties as required by Management.
About You
We would love you to have previous hotel reception experience, but this is not essential as our Reception Team will provide you with full training.

Required criteria
- Good communication, numeracy and IT skills
- Customer care experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Work well under pressure and be a team player
- A right to work within the United Kingdom
- A professional appearance
Desired criteria
- Reception experience ideally gained in a hotel
- Educated to GCSE Standard or the equivalent including English and Maths
