About this role
About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will support individuals to remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes. You will follow each person’s care plan while promoting their dignity, choices and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing, continence care and oral hygiene
Assisting with mobility, transfers and the safe use of mobility equipment
Supporting with medication in line with the care plan, training and company procedures
Preparing meals and encouraging appropriate nutrition and hydration
Providing companionship, reassurance and emotional support
Supporting individuals with shopping, appointments and community activities
Completing light household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable home
Monitoring and reporting any changes in an individual’s health, behaviour or wellbeing
Completing accurate care records after every visit
Following safeguarding, infection prevention, confidentiality and health and safety procedures
Working effectively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals
Respecting each individual’s privacy, dignity, culture, beliefs and personal choices
Who We Are Looking For

Able to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable using a smartphone or electronic care recording system
Willing to complete all required training
Flexible and able to work a range of shifts, including some weekends
Able to follow care plans, risk assessments and company procedures
Previous experience in health or social care is desirable, but applicants with transferable skills and the right values are encouraged to apply.
Essential Requirements
The right to work in the UK
Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
Ability to travel between individuals’ homes within the selected working area
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required, depending on the location and shift pattern
Availability to work alternate weekends or as required by the service
