Community Team Manager – Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole
Full-time – Abicare Homecare
Salary: up to £30,000
Field-based (approx. 50%) / Office-based (approx. 50%)
Abicare is growing its Homecare services across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Team Manager to help lead and develop our local care team.
This is an important operational role for someone who understands domiciliary care and enjoys being close to both the people receiving care and the staff delivering it.
You will work alongside the Registered Manager to ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered consistently across the locality, while supporting and developing Care Professionals, maintaining compliance and helping the service grow.
This is not a purely office-based management role. You will spend approximately half of your time working within the community, supporting staff and clients, completing assessments and maintaining oversight of care delivery, with the remainder focused on operational and administrative responsibilities.
About this role
As Community Team Manager, you will have responsibility for a local team of Care Professionals and Key Workers and will support the day-to-day operation of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole service.
Your responsibilities will include:

Acting as a role model and mentor to the care team
Ensuring high standards of care, quality and compliance
Completing initial client assessments and Risk Assessments
Ensuring Care Plans and Risk Assessments remain accurate and up to date
Supporting new care packages from initial assessment through to handover
Monitoring care documentation and electronic care records
Working with the Registered Manager to complete and maintain weekly staff rotas
Supporting effective coverage of care calls across the locality
Participating in the locality on-call rota
Supporting induction and development of new Care Professionals
Working closely with the Registered Manager on client, staff and operational issues
Supporting the growth and development of Abicare’s services across the BCP area
You may also be required to provide care-call cover where needed to support continuity of service, including during sickness, annual leave or other operational pressures.
A Role Where You Can Make an Impact
This is an opportunity to take real ownership within a growing service.
You will play an important role in:
Building and developing a strong local care team
Supporting Care Professionals to deliver excellent care
Improving quality and consistency
Helping new care packages start successfully
Identifying and resolving operational issues
Supporting Abicare’s continued growth across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
You will work closely with the Registered Manager and wider Abicare team, while having the autonomy to manage priorities within your own locality.
Who We’re Looking For

You should have:
Previous supervisory or management experience within the social care sector
