Retail Sales Representative - Windows, Doors & Conservatories
Join the established sales team at Turkington Windows & Conservatories as a customer-focused Sales Representative. This is an excellent opportunity to help grow our domestic windows, doors, and conservatories business across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. You will be a key part of the customer's journey, guiding them from their initial enquiry right through to the successful completion of their order.
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, you will work closely with our operations team to ensure every customer receives a professional, knowledgeable, and enjoyable buying experience. Your role will involve meeting customers in their homes and our showrooms, understanding their unique requirements, and recommending the perfect home improvement solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing design advice and presenting product options.
Preparing accurate quotations and explaining pricing clearly.
Following up on enquiries and quotations to maximise sales opportunities.
Completing customer contracts, and other administrative duties.
Maintaining excellent communication with customers throughout the process.
Working toward and achieving sales targets.
Fulfilling scheduled showroom duties, as per rota.
Attending exhibitions, trade shows and promotional events as required.
This position is ideal for an experienced and driven salesperson who thrives on meeting new people, building relationships, and closing sales. While industry experience is beneficial, it is not essential as we provide full product and systems training.

As a Sales Representative, your day-to-day will be dynamic and engaging. You'll be the face of Turkington, meeting with homeowners to understand their vision for their property. You will use your expertise to provide design advice, recommend suitable products, and prepare detailed quotations, turning a customer's dream into a tangible plan. What you will need
Required criteria
- Excellent IT literacy and knowledge of Microsoft office products
- Self-motivated with a desire to succeed within the team.
- A full current driving licence.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly organised and proficient in prioritising workload
- A good understanding of the sales process, from initial enquiry through to closing the sale.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Previous sales experience, preferably within a direct-to-consumer or consultative sales environment.
Desired criteria
- Experience in the technical aspects of uPVC and composite products
- Recognised Construction / Window industry training.
- Sales experience in the Windows or Construction Industry
- Experience within the windows, doors, double glazing, conservatories, home improvements, or construction industry.
- Previous measuring or surveying experience.
