About this role
About the Role
This role is for 20 hours per week on a temporary basis to cover a period of Maternity leave.
Iveagh House, located on the Castlewellan Road, Banbridge, caters for up to 33 residents requiring frail elderly care.
As an Activity Therapist, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents by planning and delivering meaningful activities and therapies tailored to individual needs. You will develop a varied program that considers residents' interests, mobility, cognitive abilities as well as input from colleagues and families. Your role will involve designing and facilitating group and one-to-one activities that promote well-being and engagement. You will keep records of resident participation, seek feedback to refine activities and provide a structured calendar of events to enhance daily experiences. Building strong relationships with residents, families and colleagues will be at the heart of your work, ensuring inclusive and a person-centred approach. Encouraging social interaction, creativity and physical activity, you will support holistic well-being in a compassionate and engaging way.

Medical fitness to carry out physical requirements of the role.

Additional Information
Interviews may take place via video call.
This role involves substantial access to vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be offered the position subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Check through Access NI. Regulated posts will also require a check of the adult barred list.
