Roles include:
Room Attendant: Ensuring our guest rooms are presented to the highest standard.
Public Areas Attendant: Keeping our hotel spotless and welcoming for our guests everyday.
Laundry Room Attendant (full-time): Working behind the scenes to keep our supplies crisp and clean.
For full-time roles you can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out of seven including weekends. For casual positions you will be offered a variety of shifts, successful candidates must therefore have a flexible approach and be able to work on a rota basis. The rate of pay for casual work is £9.55 to £12.75 per hour depending on your age.

About this role
To ensure that all housekeeping areas within the hotel are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.
Duties will vary depending on the role but could include:
Cleaning and servicing bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas of the hotel. Typical tasks include vacuuming, mopping, cleaning all in-room facilities, and stripping and making beds.
Providing a laundry and dry cleaning service for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and maximum resource efficiency for the hotel.
To receive, sort, and process hotel linen in accordance with Hastings standards, ensuring finished items are correctly stored and accurate records maintained.
To check items for damage and take appropriate action to ensure they are not returned to stock in a damaged state.
To process guest laundry and dry cleaning to high standards, ensuring items are accurately labelled and returned to the correct bedroom.
To provide a Turn-Down Service for guests, preparing rooms for evening rest and providing finishing touches to the Hastings Standard.
To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
To always maintain the security of bedrooms and stock, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing with lost property in accordance with company procedures.
To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
Any other duties as required by management.
About You
We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Housekeeping Team will provide you with full training.

Required criteria

Desired criteria
- Educated to GCSE standard or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths.
- Previous professional cleaning or hospitality experience
