About the Role:
We are looking for a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to join our team at one of Darwin Escapes’ beautiful holiday destinations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about safety, enjoys working in a guest-focused environment and takes pride in maintaining a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for all visitors. As a Lifeguard, you will play a key role in supervising the pool area, responding to incidents and ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is attentive, calm under pressure and confident in enforcing safety rules while maintaining a friendly and approachable manner.
This is a fixed term, full-time position working variable days, including weekends and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise the swimming pool and surrounding areas to ensure guest safety at all times
• Respond quickly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures in a professional and friendly manner
• Carry out regular safety checks of the pool and equipment
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the pool area
• Assist with pool testing and ensure water quality standards are met
• Provide first aid where required
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist guests with any queries
• Work closely with the leisure team to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
What We’re Looking For:
• A valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent is essential
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
• Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations
• A positive attitude and strong team player
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach
• A commitment to delivering a safe and enjoyable guest experience

Additional Information:
