Dennison Commercials Ltd is the sole Volvo Truck & Bus dealer and the leading provider of heavy commercial vehicles in Northern Ireland. We are currently recruiting a Trainee Parts Advisor to join our expanding team at our Ballyclare Dealerpoint.

About this role
Initially the successful candidate will carry out duties such as the following:
Assisting goods in by unloading and sorting deliveries
Allocating stock to correct areas of the store
Picking parts orders from the store for customers and internal workshop
Assisting with stock takes
Assisting with parts and warranty returns in line with Volvo processes
Updating internal computer systems
Other general parts administration duties
By assisting the existing Parts team in the above you will gain knowledge and experience, create and develop relationships internally at Dennisons, as well as build an understanding of our customer base, the commercial vehicle industry and the Volvo product.
Once the relevant training and experience has been established, it is anticipated that the role will develop into a full parts role, working within the Newry depot team to ensure the smooth running of the parts department.
What you will need
Required criteria
- Minimum of GCSE English and Maths, grade A-C
- An excellent level of computer literacy is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) at all levels, both internally and externally, in a professional manner (must be confident with telephone communication)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently
- Be a fast learner
- Be organised, methodical, proactive and enthusiastic
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and be able to work on own initiative
- Have a warm, friendly and outgoing personality
- Be willing to accept change and have the ability to be flexible to adapt accordingly as business needs require
- Be of a questioning nature
- Be open and honest at all times and always work with integrity
- Possess a willingness to learn and succeed

Desired criteria
- A qualification in ICT would be desirable but is not essential
- Previous experience working within a business environment would be highly desirable
- Although not essential, some existing mechanical knowledge would be advantageous or a strong desire to learn and work within the commercial vehicle industry.
