The Role:
Onchanton T/A Snap Galway are seeking an experienced Graphic Installer to join our production and installation team (40 hours per week) . The primary focus of this role is the professional preparation and installation of vehicle graphics,
vinyl wraps, decals, and fleet branding across cars, vans, and commercial vehicles.
About this role
Key Responsibilities:
Install vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, decals, lettering and fleet branding on cars, vans and other commercial vehicles.
Prepare vehicle body surfaces before installation by cleaning, inspecting and ensuring surfaces are suitable for the application of graphics and decorative vinyl materials.
Read and interpret job specifications, work dockets, measurements and installation instructions before commencing each project.
Accurately position, align and apply graphics and vinyl materials to vehicle body panels to achieve the required design and finish.
Cut, trim, shape and finish vinyl around vehicle panels, doors, windows, edges, recesses and other exterior fittings.
Remove or temporarily adjust suitable external fittings where required to achieve a professional installation and refit them following completion of the work.
Use appropriate hand tools, application equipment and specialist installation techniques to complete vehicle graphics and wrapping work safely and accurately.
Inspect vehicle surfaces and completed installations for alignment, adhesion, finish and overall quality, correcting any defects or installation issues where required.
Remove existing vehicle graphics, vinyl or branding and prepare the vehicle surface for replacement graphics where required.
Carry out fleet branding projects involving multiple vehicles while maintaining consistent positioning, appearance and quality across the fleet.
Identify potential installation or quality issues in advance and liaise with the production and sales teams where clarification or corrective action is required.
Update job progress and completion information on the company's management information system.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company quality procedures and applicable Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Represent the company professionally when working at customer premises and ensure completed work meets both company and customer specifications.
Deliver completed signage, printed products or other customer orders where required and obtain appropriate delivery confirmation.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 2 year of experience in vehicle graphics installation, vehicle wrapping, fleet branding or a closely related graphics installation role.
Demonstrable experience applying vinyl graphics and decorative materials to cars, vans and commercial vehicle bodywork.
Strong practical skills in vehicle surface preparation, vinyl application, trimming, finishing and quality control.
Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and accurately complete installations to customer specifications.
Good understanding of installation tools, materials, equipment and safe working practices.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve installation and quality issues.
Good understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Ability to work independently at customer locations and as part of the wider production and installation team.
What you will need
Required criteria
- Experience in the Print industry essential.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar production role.
- Excellent communication skills, professional manner and customer focus are essential.
- Strong understanding and ability to ensure standards and processes of Quality [ISO standard], Health, Safety and Environment are upheld.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suites and ability to run reports as required.
- A strong working background, fluent in English and a clean driving license.
- Desire to learn/take feedback.
