About the Role
Healix is seeking a Regional Analyst - Intelligence to deliver expert analysis of security, geopolitical and operational risks globally. This role supports decision-making, travel security, and crisis management through timely, accurate and actionable intelligence.
Working as an embedded member of a client organisation based in Kuala Lumpur, you will act as a trusted intelligence partner, providing regional expertise and insight to support operational decision-making and risk management. You will monitor emerging developments, produce intelligence reports and alerts, support live incidents, and provide regional expertise to colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for an analytical and adaptable intelligence professional with:
2 to 4 years' experience in intelligence analysis, security risk, travel risk or geopolitical risk.
Excellent research, analytical and report-writing skills.
Experience producing intelligence for operational and executive audiences.
Strong understanding of source validation and intelligence methodologies.
Experience supporting crisis management or incident response activities.
Ability to work effectively within a complex, fast-moving environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital information platforms.
Desirable
Experience with travel risk or crisis management platforms.
Presentation and briefing experience.
Mandarin/Chinese language skills.

About this role
What you will be doing:
Intelligence & Risk Analysis
Monitor security, political, geopolitical and travel-related developments.
Produce intelligence alerts, risk assessments, reports and executive briefings for a global audience.
Weekly geopolitical updates on the greater China region.
Identify intelligence gaps and strengthen regional sources and networks.
Assistance to the travel security programme, including advice to travellers, desktop risk assessments, management of information and email flow.
Conduct horizon scanning, identify emerging threats.
Lead scenario planning for key events.
Crisis & Operational Support
Support crisis response activities and the Crisis Management Teams.
Escalate developments that could impact client personnel, assets or operations.
What you will need
Required criteria
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working in a small team environment
- Experience of risk management, security planning, logistics, client facing roles and crisis management.
- Relevant undergraduate qualification in International Relations, Security Studies or other regional specialism
- Effective communication skills
Desired criteria
- Preferred one year proven operational experience in security and/or international relations: military, government/civil service, police, NGOs, corporate security
- Experience in writing high-quality security information for an English-speaking audience. Preference will be given to candidates with working proficiency in a second regional language
