The Home
Carlisle Court is a wonderfully positioned, purpose built residential care home in County Antrim, Belfast. Our new beautifully refurbished new home will operate independently to the nursing home, City View Court. The home benefits from beautiful 60 en-suite bedrooms, complimented by a range of enclosed gardens and courtyards.
Here at Carlisle Court, we offer professional, person-centred residential care that focuses on betterment, rehabilitation and maximum independence.
The home has an array of communal spaces, including large lounges, well-positioned dining areas and access to kitchenettes and quiet spaces. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home. Our facilities are designed to enable residents to be as independent as possible with the assistance of 24-hour care.
With views stretching across the North of the city, Carlisle Court is positioned right in the heart of North and West Belfast and will aim to ensure residents remain part of the wider community, with a focus on occupational activity, volunteering and partnership.
The Role
The role of the Domestic Assistant is essential in our mission to provide excellent care. Supporting the Housekeeper with the environment of the Home, the Domestic Assistant will contribute to the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents. The Domestic Assistant will ensure that the Home is clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.
The Domestic Assistant role at Healthcare Ireland Group works closely with the care teams and residents, building trusting relationships to create a comfortable environment where our residents feel safe and cared for. From ensuring that rooms are clean to tidying communal areas, every task contributes to the value that we add to the lives of our residents.
About this role
Main Responsibilities
Ensure the expected cleanliness and hygiene standards are achieved throughout the home
Cover domestic duties as assigned
Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management
Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule
Use and store cleaning products in accordance to COSHH regulations
Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.

Required criteria
- A good standard of both verbal and written English
- Relevant experience for the role
- The Right to Work in the UK
Desired criteria
- Previous care home experience
- Basic knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety and Fire Regulations
