Hours & Shift Pattern
Contracted Hours: 20 hours per weekShift Time: 9am–2pm
Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Friday, SaturdayWeek 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

£12.71 per hour (Mon–Fri)
£13.34 per hour (Sat)
£13.98 per hour (Sun)
About this role
About This Role
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Haviland House is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and hygiene. Your work helps create a homely, safe environment where residents feel respected, valued, and cared for.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing thorough, high‑quality cleaning across all areas of the home
Dusting, polishing, and ensuring furniture is cleaned and moved safely
Maintaining spotless floor surfaces, carpets, bathrooms, and communal areas
Replenishing toiletries and essential cleaning supplies
Supporting laundry duties and assisting residents who wish to participate
Reporting maintenance concerns or issues relating to residents’ belongings
Following safe working practices, including COSHH and infection‑control guidelines
Taking part in team meetings and ongoing training

What you will need
Required criteria
- Keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Experience and knowledge in safe practices to prevent and reduce infections within a care home setting
- High standard of customer service, interacting positively with residents, families, and visitors
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check
