Hours & Shift Pattern

Contracted Hours: 20 hours per weekShift Time: 9am–2pm

Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Friday, SaturdayWeek 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Day Rates

  • £12.71 per hour (Mon–Fri)

  • £13.34 per hour (Sat)

  • £13.98 per hour (Sun)

About this role

About This Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Haviland House is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and hygiene. Your work helps create a homely, safe environment where residents feel respected, valued, and cared for.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing thorough, high‑quality cleaning across all areas of the home

  • Dusting, polishing, and ensuring furniture is cleaned and moved safely

  • Maintaining spotless floor surfaces, carpets, bathrooms, and communal areas

  • Replenishing toiletries and essential cleaning supplies

  • Supporting laundry duties and assisting residents who wish to participate

  • Reporting maintenance concerns or issues relating to residents’ belongings

  • Following safe working practices, including COSHH and infection‑control guidelines

  • Taking part in team meetings and ongoing training
