To support our future growth plans, we are looking to build a strong talent pipeline with professionals in the following regions who would like to be considered for future opportunities within our Housebuilding team.

The Housebuilder Account Manager role is blend of reacting to incoming customer needs, whilst consistently identifying new business opportunities and contacts, proactively reaching out to increase Tobermore’s pipeline of business with this customer group

You will grow sales with an assigned ledger of Housebuilder Accounts in your assigned region. This will include all National Housebuilder Offices and high value Regional Housebuilders in the region.

This involves building strong relationships with decision makers in these accounts, including the technical, commercial and estimating department, to ensure tailored solutions, design support, cost effective product options and construction support are put forward to ensure Tobermore products are chosen for each of their projects.

About this role

Responsibilities: The following list constitutes the key tasks and duties of your post upon which your job performance will be assessed. Tasks are not in any particular order, therefore the sequence which they appear should not be interpreted as indicating priority or relative importance.

Duties will include:

• Build a trusting and professional relationship with Housebuilders on your ledger. The aim is to make Tobermore the number one choice with Housebuilders through strong relationships, first class customer service, unrivalled product options and design support.

• Meet with key contacts (both ‘in-person’ and over Microsoft Teams) as per the required frequency and KPI aligned to the role. Key contacts include roles in Commercial, Technical, Estimating, Sustainability, and if required at Group level.

• You are expected to attend in person meetings in your region as frequently as your customers need you. While there is a baseline target for this (1-2 days per month), this is not limited to this. You are accountable for setting your customer activity targets, striving for growth month on month.

• Plan and book travel to your assigned region including sending requests to Staff Bookings for flight, accommodation and car hire.

• Plan diary efficiently to ensure accounts are being serviced to their required level.

• Make time and cost efficient travel arrangements for the business- hiring a car and maximising the days you book out to visit customers in person.

• Demonstrate a proactive sales approach to generating new Housebuilding business for your specific set of Housebuilder accounts through calls, meetings and overall activity.

The team will operate using a ‘One to beat’ report when setting KPI targets. The objective of this is to give team members accountability and support them in their growth and development.

• Continually identify new customers via Barbour searching, market networking, referrals, and proactively contacted to grow Tobermore’s ledger of customers.

• Ensure that all accounts are looked after and maintained on Dynamics.

• When required, attend site to provide technical and construction support.

• Utilise pipelines provided by Housebuilders to identify opportunities for new business. Track the activity against these pipelines, conversion and new business generated by way of reaching out to sites and contacts.

• Promoting new services and products. As new products are launched, proactively introduce these to all offices, and continually review regional office understanding of Tobermore’s range and promote unknown products.

• Develop a set list of projects from the specific ledger of Housebuilder customers. Ensure each project data is accurate on Dynamics, and proactive action taken consistently to move that project towards a win for Tobermore.

• Report to Housebuilder Team Leader on the status and progress of your accounts and opportunities. This will consist of Monthly Reviews and Strategic Quarterly Reviews.

• Hold group presentations and CPD seminars to showcase Tobermore products and the benefits of working with Tobermore.

• Monitoring and identifying market trends, competitors, and new opportunities.

• Holding internal meetings with other departments within the B2B/ B2C sales division to ensure opportunities are progressing smoothly.

• As requested by your Line Manager, attend networking events and award ceremonies to promote the Tobermore brand.

• Hosting Factory Visits and other Corporate Hospitality events.

• Feeding back Housebuilder Sustainability requirements/goals to the Sustainability Governance Committee to assist with strategy.

• Arranging design services with the goal of confirming Tobermore specifications, breaking competitor specifications and/or securing orders.

• Raising quotations and following up in a timely manner to ensure excellent customer service and a Tobermore order win.

• Demonstrate the company values (H.E.A.R.T) in every task and colleague/customer interaction daily.

• Following up on complaints and queries from Housebuilders.

• Carry out tasks as required and deemed within your competence by your manager.
