About this role
Embark on an exciting, hands-on journey with our structured Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship. Your day-to-day will be filled with practical learning and development, starting in our bustling factory. You'll master core engineering skills like assembly, fitting, and maintenance, all while gaining a deep understanding of CDE's innovative products and processes.
As you progress into your second year, your role will evolve into a hybrid model, blending factory learning with on-site customer experience. This unique opportunity allows you to apply your technical knowledge in real-world scenarios, tackling equipment servicing, troubleshooting, and refurbishment. This role is designed for growth; upon successful completion, you'll be perfectly positioned to transition into a permanent role as a CustomCare Engineer or Service Engineer, continuing your career with a world-leading team.
What you will need
Required criteria
- Hold a good level of secondary education with a high degree of numeracy and literacy.
- Must satisfy the general entry requirements for the Level 5 Engineering (HLA) course, including GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, and A-Level requirements.
- Possess and display a keen interest in engineering.
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and progress.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely at all times.
- Dependable, reliable, and enthusiastic self-starter able to work on own initiative.
- Clearance to work in the UK.
- Ability to drive and travel as required.
Desired criteria
- Previous practical or technical experience (e.g., school projects, part-time work, engineering clubs).
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles or tools.
