Job Overview:
The Field Care Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care by implementing field-based quality control systems and providing continuous support to Care & Support Workers within a designated area. This role requires a proactive approach to managing care services, maintaining effective communication, and ensuring compliance with all care standards.Key Responsibilities:

Assessments & Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive Individual Needs Assessments for new and existing service users, including regular risk assessments and updates to ensure tailored, safe, and effective care plans.
Service Delivery & Coverage: Ensure all service user visits are fully covered, respond promptly to emergencies as the first point of contact, and accompany Care & Support Workers on introductory visits to support smooth transitions.
Collaboration & Staffing: Work closely with Care Coordinators to support recruitment, allocate permanent and temporary staff, and manage cover for sickness, holidays, and unforeseen absences.
Training, Supervision & Development: Lead practical inductions and in-field training, supervise and mentor Care & Support Workers, identify further training needs, and promote ongoing professional development.
Quality Assurance & Reviews: Conduct regular service user reviews, monitor satisfaction and worker performance, ensure accurate documentation, and act promptly on feedback and performance issues.
Reporting & Communication: Maintain clear communication with the Care Manager and Care Coordinator, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all reports and administrative tasks.
Work Environment: Field Care Supervisors are expected to spend approximately 95% of their working week in the field, providing direct support to Care & Support Workers and ensuring the quality of service delivery. The remaining 5% of the time will be dedicated to completing necessary administrative duties in the office.
Requirements:
Valid Irish Driving Licence
QQI level 6 in Healthcare (preferred), QQI level 5 is also accepted.
Experience:
Healthcare: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
Irish Driving Licence (required)
QQI level 5 or level 6 (required)
