Team Leader

What you’ll be doing

You will:

·    Lead by example and be an approachable first point of contact for the team

·    Coach, mentor and support staff in their day-to-day work

·    Work alongside customers and staff in the community

·    Complete supervisions, live observations and return-to-work discussions

·    Monitor care records and complete medication and quality checks

·    Help new employees settle into the service and develop their confidence

·    Support new customer referrals, visits and introductions

·    Build positive relationships with customers, families and professionals

·    Promote dignity, independence, inclusion and person-centred support

·    Identify concerns, solve day-to-day problems and involve the management team when needed

·    Help maintain a positive, open and supportive team culture

·    Follow health and safety requirements and Leading Lives policies and procedures

The role includes flexible working and occasional weekends, with occasional out-of-hours advice and support when required. IT equipment will be provided for the office-based elements of the role.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you:

·    Have experience working in social care

·    Hold a Level 3 qualification in Social Care, or an equivalent qualification

·    Communicate clearly and enjoy supporting other people

·    Can organise your workload and respond calmly when plans change

·    Are comfortable using IT systems and completing records

·    Can work independently while knowing when to ask for support

·    Are committed to delivering respectful, person-centred care

·    Have a positive attitude and want to help build a confident, reliable team

Previous leadership experience would be helpful, but we also welcome applications from experienced care professionals who are ready to take the next step and develop their leadership skills.
