If you're a legally-minded professional who's passionate about protecting a respected brand, influencing positive change and working for an organisation that truly lives its values, we'd love to hear from you.
About this role
As our Compliance Manager, you will use your legal background to safeguard and elevate the operational standards across our franchise network.

Drive Compliance Excellence: Enforce adherence to regulatory and brand standards, ensuring franchises operate within legal and ethical frameworks, including accuracy and compliance across Franchise Agreements and legal records.
Elevate Operational Performance: Oversee targeted improvement plans for franchisees, blending compliance oversight with business development strategies to ensure timely, consistent delivery.
Lead Continuous Improvement: Develop and refine systems, processes, and tools that enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability across the network.
Champion Best Practices: Share knowledge and training to empower franchisees, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
What you’ll be doing

Chair meetings with franchise owners to discuss performance concerns, and monitor improvement and remediation plans through to resolution
Draft and issue formal breach notices, escalating to Caremark’s external solicitors and maintaining audit trails where issues aren’t resolved
Work collaboratively with internal teams (Training, Operations, Quality, and Leadership) to support franchisees in achieving sustained compliance and growth
Identify trends and recurring issues, feeding insights back into systems, processes, and franchise support
Produce clear reporting and insights for senior stakeholders
Balance the need to work collaboratively with franchisees, whilst having the confidence to take decisive action when standards are not met.
What we’re looking for
You'll bring a strong mix of compliance expertise, legal understanding, a procedure-driven approach, and relationship management, along with being:
Confident and assertive with franchise owners and senior stakeholders - able to hold people accountable while maintaining positive relationships
Calm, resilient, and comfortable making tough decisions in the best interests of the brand, network, and customers
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Clear and persuasive communicator, both written and verbal
Analytical and solutions-focused, able to identify root causes and drive improvement
Values-led and committed to continuous improvement, acting with integrity, fairness, and consistency, and aligned with Caremark’s purpose
Experience
To have a legal background/experience
Demonstrable experience managing performance, standards, or contractual compliance with business owners or senior stakeholders
Experience handling difficult conversations, performance improvement discussions, and formal corrective processes
Desirable: Understanding of franchise models, multi-site operations, or regulated service industries (healthcare, social care, hospitality, retail, or similar)
Experience writing formal reports, improvement plans, and breach or enforcement correspondence
Confident working independently while influencing at a senior level
