What is the Job?
To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the accounts department and to support the senior management team in the effective financial management of the Group. This is a management role requiring collaboration and joint working with other areas of the business.

You will display excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. You will display proven leadership abilities and experience managing a finance team.

About this role
Your Day to Day
· To support the Financial Director in providing effective financial management for the Group, across all areas of the business,
· Processing and managing payroll for all group entities including reporting,
· Overseeing the preparation of management accounts and revenue reporting process,
· Assist with year end accounts and audit preparation,
· To manage the accounts team, maintaining appropriate financial systems, providing accurate financial information and ensuring effective financial controls are maintained,
· To work with managers and other members of the management team to provide financial support across all areas of the business as required,
· To assist managers to achieve cost control and meet their budgets by providing timely financial information, maintaining financial proceduresand helping to monitor and manage variances,
· Review and reconciliation of all ledger accounts, including bank statements, assets, liabilities and credit cards,
· Maintain and monitor controls to ensure system and procedural compliance,
· File statutory returns including PAYE and VAT,
· Manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, and assist with company-wide tendering and procurement,
· Take ownership of implementing improvements identified by the external auditors to strengthen financial reporting, internal controls and operational efficiency.

What you will need
Required criteria
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- At least 2 years' post qualified experience managing a team and preparing management accounts
- Highly Analytical with Excellent MS Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple businesses simultaneously
- Skilled communicator, able to relay information effectively
- Experience of Netsuite and Sage Payroll
