The Quays Bar & Restaurant in the heart of Galway is seeking a friendly, confident and outgoing Host to join our front of house team.
This is a key customer-facing role, ideal for someone with great communication skills, a warm personality and a natural ability to engage with people. As Host, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere and showcasing the food, drink and hospitality experience The Quays has to offer.
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent (7:00pm - 2:00am / 4/5 days per week)
Package: Up to €26/hour
The Ideal Candidate
Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with the public
Strong communication and customer service skills
Outgoing, enthusiastic and well presented
Previous experience within the Irish hospitality industry
A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a busy team
Flexible and available to work evenings and weekends as required

Key Responsibilities
Welcoming guests in a friendly and professional manner
Engaging with customers and providing information on menus, food offerings, drinks and daily specials
Supporting the front of house team with guest flow, table availability and general customer enquiries
Manage day to day customer relations, ensuring a consistently high standard of customer service and satisfaction
Creating a positive first impression for both walk-in customers and visitors to Galway
Helping promote the venue’s food and beverage offering in a confident and approachable way
