About this role
As a Social Care Manager, your day-to-day will be dynamic and impactful. You will lead the operational management of the residential home, ensuring the highest standards of care are met. This includes staff supervision, care planning, and fostering a positive, therapeutic environment for the young people we support. You'll be a key player in our expansion, contributing your expertise to new projects and service development.

What you will need
Required criteria
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with young people prior to commencing the role is required.
- A relevant qualification in Social Care or a related field
- Thorough knowledge of the National Standards for Residential Centres and relevant legislation
- Must meet one of the following criteria: 2 years' experience as a Social Care Leader in Children's Mainstream Residential Care; OR a QQI Level 8 in a relevant field with 2 years' post-qualification experience; OR a QQI Level 7 in a relevant field with 3 years' post-qualification experience and enrollment in a management/supervisory program; OR a professional qualification in Social Work with 3 years' post-qualification experience and enrollment in a management/supervisory program.
- Hold a relevant qualification at QQI Level 7 or above in fields such as Social Care, Psychology, Social Science, Youth and Community, or similar.
- Registered or have submitted an application for registration with CORU.
- Demonstrable history of competence in all aspects of management.
- Registered or registration submitted with CORU.
- A required Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a social care background.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with management and staff at all levels.
