Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Care Assistant to provide personalised support to an individual in their own home. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our client's life by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and have a genuine desire to help others. Previous experience in home care settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Duties

  • Provide personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility

  • Support clients with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and light housekeeping

  • Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being

  • Assist with organising appointments and liaising with healthcare professionals as needed

  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client’s condition

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of client at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations

  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively

  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required (driving skills are desirable)

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal

  • Previous experience working within the care sector providing home care is preferred but not mandatory

  • Basic IT literacy for managing documentation and communication tools

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans

  • Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients or running errands

  • Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining professional standards

This role offers an enriching opportunity to support individuals in a caring environment while developing valuable skills within the health and social care sector.

This Live-in is for female only applicants. The rota is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. The accommodation provides your own fully furnished bedroom with on suite. All meals and food provided. 2 hour break daily usually at a regular time in the afternoon, can be discussed at interview. Free use of all amenities.

Our client is an elderly lady that lives alone and has dementia she loves to chat about her former careers as a teacher and magistrate. Support is required for all her daily living tasks, personal care, meals, companionship. This lady likes to go out and about and attend the local library where she reads to the children. Likes to attend a local church lunch club weekly. The client lives in a lovely picturesque village lovely walks, cafes, duck pond and garden centre to visit.
