Grounds, Maintenance and Hot Tubs Assistant

About the Role:We are looking for a reliable, practical, and hardworking Grounds & Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Mullion Cove.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping their surroundings clean and well-maintained, and has a hands-on approach to general maintenance and grounds work. You will play an important role in maintaining the park’s grounds, facilities, accommodation, and outdoor areas, helping to ensure that Mullion Cove remains a safe, attractive, and welcoming environment for our guests.

This is a varied and active role, suited to someone who is proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be involved in a range of grounds and maintenance duties, from general upkeep and gardening to basic repairs and maintaining park facilities.

This is a permanent, full-time position working variable days, including weekends and bank holidays.

As part of the team, you will help maintain the park to a high standard, ensuring outdoor areas are tidy, presentable, safe, and enjoyable for our guests. You’ll work alongside a supportive team where attention to detail, pride in your work, and high standards are key.

Key Responsibilities:• Carry out general grounds maintenance across the park• Maintain lawns, grassed areas, flower beds, shrubs, hedges, and other landscaped areas• Carry out mowing, strimming, pruning, planting, weeding, and general gardening duties• Keep paths, outdoor areas, and communal spaces clean, tidy, and well-presented• Assist with general maintenance and repairs across the park, accommodation, and facilities• Respond to maintenance and grounds-related requests in a timely and efficient manner• Carry out routine checks and inspections of grounds, buildings, equipment, and outdoor facilities• Assist with basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and general maintenance tasks where required• Support the upkeep and presentation of guest facilities and amenities• Assist with seasonal grounds preparation and maintenance• Use grounds and maintenance tools and equipment safely and responsibly• Support planned and preventative maintenance programmes• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures• Report any hazards, defects, or maintenance issues promptly• Work collaboratively with other departments to support the overall guest experience• Maintain consistently high standards across the park

• Clean, maintain and service hot tubs to ensure they meet company and safety standards 

• Conduct regular checks of hot tubs, plant equipment and outdoor areas 

What We’re Looking For:• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, maintenance, or a similar role is desirable• Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn new skills• Basic knowledge of gardening, grounds maintenance, or general building maintenance• Experience using grounds maintenance tools and equipment is desirable• Good practical and problem-solving skills• Ability to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Good organisational skills and attention to detail• A flexible and proactive approach to work• A positive attitude and strong work ethic• Pride in maintaining clean, safe, and attractive surroundings• Commitment to maintaining high standards• A willingness to undertake a varied range of grounds and maintenance duties

Additional Information:This is a permanent role requiring flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays in line with business needs.

The role is predominantly outdoors and may involve working in varying weather conditions. It will also involve physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, walking, and the use of grounds maintenance and general maintenance tools and equipment.
