We are currently recruiting dedicated Care Assistants / Healthcare Assistants to support both children and adults with complex needs.

Available Role: Beeston, Nottingham

Client:  You will be providing one-to-one care for a 5-year-old girl with complex health needs, delivering specialist nursing support across home, community, and school settings, ensuring continuity of care throughout her day.Hours:  Day hours are 08:00am- 17:00pm.Pay: £35.00 per hour

About this role

Clinical Role-Specific Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality paediatric nursing care with professionalism and empathy

  • Support the child safely within a school environment, enabling access to education while meeting clinical needs

  • Liaise with school staff to ensure care plans and risk assessments are followed

  • Manage complex conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Dystonia

  • Provide airway management, including deep suction, repositioning, and oxygen therapy

  • Administer gastrostomy feeds and medications safely

  • Support physiotherapy programmes and mobility needs

  • Assist with personal care and daily living activities

  • Monitor clinical progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation

  • Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary professionals

  • Promote a safe, nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development

  • Provide occasional holiday cover with the family when required

Duties include:

  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with care plans

  • Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities

  • Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing

  • Maintain accurate care documentation

  • Build trusting relationships with clients and families

  • Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies

Essential Requirements:

✔ Registered Paediatric Nurse with a valid NMC PIN

✔ Minimum of 2 years’ experience caring for children with complex airway needs

✔ PICU experience (essential)

✔ Experience in community-based and school-based care (desirable)

✔ Strong communication skills and a compassionate, child-centred approach

✔ Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

✔ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

✔ Enhanced DBS clearance
