About this role
Every activity you help someone take part in is a small step towards a bigger sense of belonging.
As an Autism Outreach Worker, you'll liaise with families to plan, coordinate and evaluate activities that meet each child or young person's needs and aspirations, always keeping their safety and wellbeing at the centre of what you do. You'll support them to take part in community activities in line with their own person-centred plan, and you'll help build relationships that last well beyond your involvement.
You'll work closely with social work teams, updating on progress and contributing to reviews, and you'll keep accurate, up-to-date records as you go, from risk assessments to learning logs. Part of the role is about evaluating what's working and what isn't and using that insight to keep improving the support families receive.
You'll also play a part in supporting new staff and volunteers as they find their feet, sharing what you've learned along the way.

Additional Information:
This role is 15 hours per week.
Supporting children and young people with Autism age 5-18 years across Fermanagh area.
You will have a caseload of children to support on a roll on roll off basis, completing initial assessments, arranging support, providing support sessions, reviewing sessions and objectives set, providing feedback to social workers.
This role is made up of administration time and direct support time.
Need to be organised, good at networking in local community and confident in IT systems.

Required criteria
- Personal or work experience of providing care or support for children
- Personal or work experience of planning, organising and engaging in activities with children and young people
- Hold a Full, Valid UK/EU/EEA Drivers Licence and having access to a car to permit the Job Holder to meet the responsibilities of the role
