About this role
Role & Responsibilities:
Provide professional hairdressing services including washing, cutting, blow-drying, styling, setting, and colouring (where appropriate and approved).
Consult with residents to understand their individual preferences, needs, and desired hairstyles.
Promote each resident's dignity, privacy, independence, and choice throughout every appointment.
Create a warm, friendly, and welcoming salon environment that encourages social interaction and enhances residents' wellbeing.
Maintain accurate appointment schedules and communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding residents' appointments.
Maintain the salon and all equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Clean and disinfect all tools, equipment, and work surfaces between each resident in accordance with infection prevention and control procedures.
Ensure all products are stored safely and used in accordance with manufacturers' instructions.

Energetic and enthusiastic.
Highly committed and dedicated to enriching the lives of residents.
Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
Experienced Hairdresser
Experience working in Health/Social Care environment desirable.
