We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance & Hot Tub Assistant to join our friendly team at Wareham Forest Lodge Retreat, part of Darwin Escapes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and wants to develop their skills within a supportive and hardworking team. You'll play a key role in ensuring our hot tubs, resort grounds, and facilities are maintained to an exceptional standard, helping to create an outstanding experience for our guests.
The role is varied, with a primary focus on hot tub maintenance, alongside grounds maintenance and general maintenance duties as required.
This is a permanent part-time position, working 32 hours per week on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays.

About this role
le Responsibilities
As a Grounds Maintenance & Hot Tub Assistant, you'll support the upkeep of the resort, ensuring our hot tubs, grounds and facilities are maintained to the high standards our guests expect.
Hot Tub Maintenance
Drain, clean and refill hot tubs in line with company procedures.
Carry out daily water quality and chemical testing, ensuring all hot tubs are safe and ready for guest use.
Safely handle and store hot tub chemicals.
Complete mandatory maintenance records and compliance paperwork accurately.
Carry out minor hot tub maintenance and report any faults requiring further attention.
Ensure all hot tubs are clean, safe and fully operational for guest arrivals.
No previous hot tub experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Grounds & General Maintenance
Support the upkeep of the resort grounds, including grass cutting, mowing, hedge trimming and general landscaping.
Carry out basic planned and reactive maintenance across the resort.
Complete minor plumbing, painting, decorating and general DIY repairs.
Respond promptly to maintenance issues and guest requests.
Help maintain accommodation, buildings and resort facilities to a high standard.
Ensure pathways, communal areas and outdoor spaces remain clean, safe and well presented.
Operate company vehicles, tools and maintenance equipment safely and responsibly.
Health & Safety
Follow all health & safety procedures, COSHH guidance and company policies.
Complete maintenance paperwork and records accurately.
Maintain a safe working environment for guests, colleagues and contractors.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests and colleagues.
What you will need
Required criteria
- A full, valid UK driving licence, as you'll be required to drive company vehicles around the resort.
- Previous grounds maintenance experience, including mowing, hedge trimming and general landscaping
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
Desired criteria
- Experience working within a holiday park, hospitality or maintenance environment
