The Fleet Hotel is a wonderful boutique style Hotel located in the centre of Dublin on the edge of Temple Bar. It comprises of some beautiful period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Café, much loved by Dubliner’s for decades. The Fleet Hotel is synonymous with local Dublin history, before becoming the Fleet Hotel, 19/20 Fleet Street was home to Bewley’s Café which was established by Ernest Bewley in 1905. Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliner’s for generations.
Job Summary:
The receptionist is responsible for providing administrative support across the organization. This role involves welcoming guests and clients, managing front desk operations, handling phone calls, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Management:
Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner.
Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials (e.g., pens, forms, brochures).
Administrative Support:
Receive and sort daily mail and deliveries.
Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
Respond to guest messages, emails and phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues efficiently, escalating them where necessary.
Provide guests with information, recommendations and assistance to enhance their stay.
Update handover notes, reservations, guest profiles, room allocations and special requests in the property management system.
Customer Service:
Address and resolve basic inquiries and concerns from visitors and clients.
Provide accurate information about the organization and its services.
Complete check in/out protocol
Communication:
Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Update calendars and schedule meetings as needed.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be fully flexible to work a variety of shifts, including mornings and evenings, and be available to work any five days out of seven, including weekends and public holidays; and will also have at least one year's experience as a Receptionist in a 4-star hotel.
Hotsoft experience desirable.
