Responsibilities
To sign out any keys or equipment you receive for your shift.
Your daily assignment may include maintaining public areas and public restrooms, in which case the public areas protocols must be strictly followed, including proper announcement of entering facilities and use of correct signage.
Your daily assignment may include servicing stay over rooms, in which case, the stayover protocol must be strictly followed.
Your daily assignment may include cleaning of rooms from which guests have departed, in which case the departures protocol must be strictly followed.
Your daily assignment may include transferring linen to and from storage, in which case all laundry protocols must be strictly followed.
Your daily assignment may include lifting, moving and carrying of linen, furniture, or equipment, in which case all manual handling and health and safety protocols must be strictly followed.
To gather your trolley and/or needed supplies and equipment in an organised fashion.
To double check that you have the right chemicals, equipment and personal protective equipment required for the task at hand.
To ensure that your work areas are kept clean at all times. It is crucial that trolleys do not block corridors or cause obstructions in public areas.
To ensure that corridors are maintained in a clear and clean manner at all times, including draping of room service trays, removal of trays and glassware, and ensuring fire exits are always kept clear.
To continuously communicate with your manager or supervisor, to ensure guests’ needs remain priority.
To immediately report any request or feedback from a guest to your department supervisor or department manager.
To ensure that all lost property is handed to the department supervisor or department manager at the end of each shift.
To re-stock your trolley at the end of shift.
To return and sign back in any keys at the end of the shift. Keys should never leave the hotel.

Requirements
High levels of attention to detail required.
Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills.
Must have exceptional standards of personal grooming and presentation.
Must be a team player and also be able to work on their own initiative.
Must have the ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative.
Flexible and adaptable to support the business needs with a positive attitude

The role will operate 5 days over 7 on a shift basis and include weekends.
