About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Housekeepers to join our friendly team at Bath Mill Lodge Retreat, part of Darwin Escapes.

As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional guest experiences by ensuring our luxury lodges are cleaned and presented to the highest standard. Working as part of a supportive housekeeping team, you will take pride in maintaining a welcoming environment where every guest can enjoy a memorable stay.

This is a permanent position offering variable part-time hours, with flexibility required to meet the needs of the business, particularly during busy changeover days, weekends and bank holidays.

Accommodation Standards

• Clean and prepare lodges to company standards for arriving guests.

• Change bed linen and make beds to a high standard.

• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas thoroughly.

• Vacuum, mop, dust and sanitise all surfaces.

• Replenish guest consumables and amenities where required.

• Ensure all accommodation is guest-ready within required timescales.

Guest Experience

• Deliver consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

• Report maintenance issues, damage or missing items promptly.

• Help maintain a welcoming and positive environment for guests.

• Clean communal areas when required.

Teamwork

• Work effectively alongside the housekeeping team during busy changeover days.

• Follow housekeeping schedules and cleaning checklists.

• Support colleagues to ensure accommodation is completed efficiently.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.

Health & Safety

• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly.

• Follow company policies and procedures at all times.

• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

• Adhere to all health and safety, COSHH and manual handling requirements.

• Is reliable, hardworking and flexible.

• Has a positive attitude and enjoys helping create memorable guest experiences.

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
