Join Our Team as a Learning Disability Support Worker
MUVE Healthcare is looking for experienced and compassionate Support Workers to provide consistent, person-centred support to a young adult living in their own home.
The service is focused on promoting the individuals independence and supporting a positive transition into adult services. This is an opportunity to build a meaningful working relationship and help them develop the confidence and practical skills needed to live as independently as possible.
The individual currently receives 2:1 support, 24 hours a day. Applicants must be confident supporting young adults with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge, including occasions where behaviour may become physically aggressive.

Essential Requirements
To be successful in this Support Worker role, you must have:
At least 12 months’ experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
PMVA training
Strong de-escalation and behaviour management skills
Experience promoting independent living skills such as routines and nutrition
Confidence using digital care planning systems for accurate record keeping
A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Eligibility to work in the UK (Right to Work documentation required)
NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People or Adults)
Desirable Qualifications
Experience supporting young people transitioning into adult services
Experience working within a 2:1 support arrangement
Medication administration experience
Knowledge of trauma-informed and person-centred support
About this role
Your Responsibilities as a Community Support Worker
You will provide safe, consistent and person-centred support to a young adult in their own home, helping them develop greater independence and prepare for adulthood.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building a consistent, trusting and professional relationship with the person you support
Supporting the individual to develop independent living skills, including cooking, cleaning and completing household routines
Supporting safe access to the community and participation in meaningful activities
Promoting good personal hygiene while respecting dignity, privacy and choice
Supporting with medication administration once appropriately trained and assessed as competent
Following individual's support plan, risk assessments and agreed behaviour support strategies
Recognising potential triggers and using appropriate de-escalation techniques
Responding safely and professionally to behaviours of concern
Maintaining accurate digital care notes, incident reports and other required documentation
Working collaboratively with colleagues and relevant professionals
Promoting independence without compromising safety or consistency
Shift Pattern
The service operates Monday to Sunday on a rolling three-days-on, three-days-off rota.
Available shifts include:
Day shifts: 08:00–20:00
Night shifts: 20:00–08:00
There are regular opportunities for additional shifts to cover annual leave, sickness absence and other service requirements.

- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults or Children).
- Current First Aid training.
