We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Portuguese-speaking Care Assistant to join our friendly team providing high-quality care and support to people in their own homes. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
You will support clients with their daily routines, personal care, and wellbeing while building trusting relationships with them and their families. The ability to communicate in Portuguese is essential to ensure the client feels comfortable, understood, and supported.
Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. What matters most is kindness, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
About this role
As a Portuguese Speaking Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred care tailored to each individual’s needs. Your role will include supporting clients with everyday activities and ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued in their own home.
Your responsibilities may include:
Assisting with personal care such as washing, dressing, and toiletingSupporting with meal preparation and nutrition
Providing companionship and emotional support
Helping with medication reminders where required
Assisting with light household tasks such as laundry and tidying
Supporting clients to attend appointments or activities
Maintaining clear and accurate care records and notes
You will work closely with the wider care team to ensure clients receive consistent, high-quality support that promotes independence and wellbeing.
