The Role
As a Relief Health Care Assistant, you will:
Support residents with personal care and daily living activities
Promote residents' independence, dignity, and wellbeing
Follow individual care plans and best practice standards
Work closely with nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team
Help create a safe, comfortable, and homely environment
Provide compassionate, person-centered care at all times
You will ideally have:
QQI/FETAC Level 5 in Healthcare Support or Care of the Elderly (preferred)
Manual Handling and Patient Moving & Handling training
Previous experience in a healthcare or residential care setting (preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A caring, reliable, and compassionate approach
Flexibility to work relief shifts as required

What you will need
Required criteria
- Must have a relevant qualification for a Healthcare Assistant role (e.g., QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent).
Desired criteria
- Experience working in a care centre or nursing home environment.
