We are now looking for an AutoCAD Designer & Administrative Support professional to join our team in Chawston. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your technical skills while playing a key role in supporting our design function.
In this varied and rewarding position, you will support the design team by producing accurate, high-quality drawings and providing essential administrative support.
Due to our rural location, access to your own vehicle is essential
About this role
Your responsibilities will include:
Producing presentation drawings from spreadsheets, specifications, or hand-drawn sketches, including:
Small cabin layouts
Modular buildings
Large multi-storey buildings
Internal space planning
Elevations
Foundation pad layouts
Site plans
Amending, reviewing, and issuing drawings in line with project requirements
Recording revisions and maintaining organised drawing records and files
Providing general administrative support to the design team
Working to deadlines in a fast-paced office environment
About You
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, detail-focused, and eager to learn:
Experience using 2D AutoCAD is essential
Knowledge of Revit is desirable but not essential
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Strong technical ability with excellent attention to detail
A quick learner with a passion for accuracy and quality
Good communication skills—both written and verbal
Able to work well under pressure and manage workload effectively
A proactive, “can-do” attitude
Professional appearance and reliable timekeeping
Basic awareness of building regulations is advantageous (full training provided)
