As a Yard Operative, you'll be instrumental in the maintenance, repair, and preparation of our modular buildings and site accommodation units. About this role
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Upkeep: Clean, paint, and perform general maintenance on cabins and buildings as directed.
Servicing: Service mobile welfare units to ensure they’re in top condition.
Repairs: Conduct site visits to carry out necessary repairs promptly.
Furniture Management: Check and store furniture returned to the yard, ensuring it’s properly removed from cabins and placed back in storage.
Forklift Maintenance: Keep the forklift truck in excellent working order.
Efficiency: Minimise material wastage and assist with the safe loading and unloading of cabins, buildings, and materials.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised yard and workshop at all times.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to current health and safety legislation to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills and Experience:
Technical Expertise: Experience in plumbing, joinery, or electrical work is highly beneficial.
Multitasking: Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload effectively.
