About the role
We're looking for a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team at Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa.
This is a permanent, part-time position, working flexible hours across variable days, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays to meet the needs of the business.
As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you'll play an important role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Working across our restaurant and bar areas, you'll provide friendly, efficient service while helping to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who visits. Whether serving meals and drinks, preparing the restaurant for service, or supporting your colleagues during busy periods, you'll be committed to delivering outstanding customer service every day.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver friendly, professional and efficient service to all guests.
Take food and drink orders, serve meals and beverages, and ensure accuracy at all times.
Prepare restaurant and bar areas before service and maintain excellent presentation throughout the day.
Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain a welcoming dining environment.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety across all front-of-house areas.
Process payments accurately and operate tills in line with company procedures.
Assist with stock replenishment and rotation where required.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and queries.
Work closely with the kitchen and wider resort teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Follow all company policies and health and safety procedures.
What we're looking for
A friendly, positive attitude with a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Previous experience in hospitality, food and beverage or a customer-facing role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A flexible and reliable approach to work, including weekends and bank holidays.
Good attention to detail and high standards of presentation.
A willingness to learn and work as part of a supportive team.
A commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
