About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and detail-focused Housekeeper Supervisor / Receptionist to join our team at Canterbury Reach.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional standards of cleanliness while providing outstanding customer service. As Housekeeper Supervisor / Receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring all accommodation is presented to the highest standard while supporting the day-to-day operation of Reception, creating a welcoming experience for every guest.

You will supervise the daily housekeeping operation, monitor quality standards, allocate workloads and support the housekeeping team to ensure all accommodation is guest-ready on time. In addition, you will provide reception cover, welcoming guests, assisting with check-ins and check-outs, handling enquiries, and supporting the smooth running of the park.

This is a permanent position, working 32 hours per week on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the housekeeping team on a daily basis.

  • Allocate work schedules and ensure all accommodation is cleaned and prepared to company standards.

  • Inspect lodges and accommodation to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and presentation.

  • Provide guidance, training and ongoing support to housekeeping team members.

  • Monitor housekeeping performance and maintain quality standards.

  • Report and follow up on any maintenance issues, damages or missing inventory items.

  • Assist with cleaning during busy periods where required.

  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

  • Work closely with the Reception and Maintenance teams to ensure accommodation is ready for guest arrivals.

  • Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages.

  • Provide reception cover as required, welcoming guests in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.

  • Respond to guest enquiries, bookings and telephone calls, providing excellent customer service.

  • Process payments and complete administrative tasks in line with company procedures.

  • Promote park facilities, local attractions and Darwin Escapes services to enhance the guest experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous housekeeping experience, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role.

  • Previous reception or customer service experience is desirable.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to motivate and support a team.

  • Good IT skills and confidence using booking or reservation systems.

  • A proactive, reliable and flexible approach to work.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
