Pastry Chef for a Fine Dining Restaurant

We are looking for a talented and ambitious Pastry Chef who is passionate about fine dining and committed to pursuing excellence.

Working closely with the senior kitchen team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional pastry and dessert experiences that complement our Michelin-starred offering. About this role

The Role

  • Prepare and present desserts, petit fours, breads and other pastry items to fine dining standards.

  • Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to support the day-to-day operation of the pastry section.

  • Contribute to the preparation and execution of seasonal dessert menus and pastry offerings.

  • Maintain exceptional standards of quality, consistency and presentation.

  • Assist with the development of new pastry concepts, desserts and techniques.

  • Ensure all food safety, HACCP and hygiene standards are consistently followed.

  • Assist with stock rotation, ordering and minimising waste within the pastry section.

  • Maintain a clean, organised and efficient working environment.

  • Support Commis Chefs and junior team members where required.

  • Contribute positively to a culture of teamwork, professionalism and continuous learning.

 

The ideal person has:

  • Experience as a Pastry Chef, Pastry Chef de Partie or strong Demi Pastry Chef de Partie in a Michelin-starred or high-end fine dining environment.

  • A recognised culinary or pastry qualification is desirable, though equivalent experience will also be considered.

  • Excellent pastry skills and a keen eye for detail and presentation.

  • Passion for seasonal ingredients, modern techniques and creative dessert development.

  • Strong understanding of baking, chocolate work, desserts and pastry production.

  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

  • Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing workloads.

  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen best practices.

  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and desire to continue developing.

  • Pride in delivering exceptional food and memorable guest experiences.
