We are currently recruiting dedicated Care Assistants / Healthcare Assistants to support both children and adults with complex needs.
Available Role: Nottingham NG9
Client:You will be supporting a gentleman living with Locked-In Syndrome following a brain stem CVA (stroke). He requires full assistance with all aspects of daily living and uses a hoist for all transfers. He has a urinary sheath (Conveen) and requires regular personal care throughout the day.
The client has a tracheostomy, requiring routine tracheostomy care and suctioning. All nutrition, hydration, and medication are administered via a PEG tube. Despite his complex needs, he is able to communicate his wishes, needs, and preferences effectively through the use of assistive technology.
Shift Patterns:Days & Nights | Weekdays & Weekends
Day Shift: 07:30am – 8:00pm
Night Shift: 7:30pm – 8:00am
Pay Rate:£12.71 – £14.72 per hour (depending on the package, shifts worked, and availability)

About this role
Role-Specific Responsibilities
Assist with all aspects of daily living, including personal care
Support with mobility, repositioning, and manual handling
Administer medication and support with clinical tasks (where trained)
Provide specialist care such as:
Tracheostomy care
PEG feeding & medication
Catheter care
Suctioning
Support clients with appointments and community access (driving where required)
Duties include:

Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities
Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing
Maintain accurate care documentation
Build trusting relationships with clients and families
Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies
What We’re Looking For
✔ Caring nature and genuine desire to help others
✔ 6+ months care experience (essential)
✔ Knowledge of epilepsy & challenging behaviour (preferred)
✔ A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach
✔ Strong verbal and written English skills
✔ Ability to work both independently and within a team
✔ Basic IT skills for completing documentation
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
✔ Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
