About this role

We are urgently seeking an Overseas Compliance Officer to join our Payroll Team, based at our Central Support Office in Uxbridge. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the organisation's overseas compliance function, ensuring compliance with UK immigration legislation and sponsorship requirements. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee files, sponsorship records and immigration documentation, ensuring all records are managed in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Whilst this is a temporary position, there is a possibility that at the end of contract period, further temporary or permanent opportunities may arise in the same / similar roles in the group.

Main Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and maintaining overseas staff personnel files, ensuring all required documentation is accurate, complete and compliant with UK immigration legislation.

  • Conducting and recording Right to Work checks for overseas staff in line with Home Office requirements and company policy.

  • Monitoring visa expiry dates, work permission validity and renewal deadlines, proactively notifying employees and managers to ensure timely action.

  • Maintaining accurate records for sponsored workers and ensuring all compliance documentation is available for internal and external audits.

  • Regularly auditing overseas staff files to identify missing, expired or inaccurate documentation and taking appropriate action to resolve any issues.

  • Tracking changes in the circumstances of sponsored employees, including changes to job role, salary, working hours, work location and personal details, ensuring records are updated promptly and reporting requirements are met.

  • Liaising with employees and Home Managers to obtain documentation and resolve immigration or compliance-related queries.

  • Producing reports relating to visa status, sponsorship compliance, Right to Work checks and overseas workforce data.

  • Maintaining strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information and documentation.

  • Undertaking additional administrative and ad hoc duties as required to support the HR department and wider business.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain highly accurate records.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Flexible approach to work with a willingness to support wider HR activities.

  • An understanding of and commitment to Caron Group's values and ethos.

Package:

  • Salary – £30,000 PA (pro rata)

  • Full time – 40 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday, 9:30 pm to 5:30 pm

  • Occasional travel to Wales may be required
