Children’s Residential Child Care Worker
Location: Tarleton / Leyland / Garstang | Pay Rate: £13–£14/hr + £60 sleep-in | Shift Pattern: 2on / 4off
Exceptional Care is a leading therapeutic children’s care provider in the Northwest. We are looking for compassionate, resilient individuals to support young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties and Challenging Behaviours, guided by our values: Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Development, and Equality.
We require candidates to have gained NVQ Level 3/4 in Children and Young People within 2 years of working in a children’s residential setting.
This is a meaningful role where you will help create a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment, building trusted relationships and supporting young people to grow in confidence and independence.
The role
Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people
Build consistent, positive relationships that help young people feel safe and valued
Support with education, routines, and daily living skills
Work closely with professionals and external agencies
Contribute to a structured, therapeutic home environment

- 6-12 months experience within Childrens Residential Setting
- Driving Licence
- NVQ Level 3/4 in Children and Young People within 2 years of working in a children’s residential setting
