The Home
Close to all local amenities, Madelayne Court is situated in a lovely residential area within the picturesque town of Portstewart, on the stunning North Antrim coast. This safe and spacious setting provides professional, person-centred care for up to 66 people, specialising in residential, dementia and nursing care for those over the age of 65.
Not only does our 24 hour care and nursing team provide kind and compassionate, individualised care, we also offer good company and helpful support, in a calm and restful atmosphere. Residents feel safe, comfortable and part of a relaxed community at Madelayne Court.
All our private, light and spacious bedrooms are fully-furnished and have the benefit of en-suite bathroom facilities. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space with their own familiar items to make it their home.
The home also has excellent amenities, all fully designed to cater for people living with dementia, including a café, comfortable lounges and dining spaces, enabling residents to maintain their independence within the safest possible environment.
The Role
The role of a Registered Nurse in our services is a key position in our mission to provide excellent and inclusive care. The Registered Nurse is a leadership role, playing a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high-quality and person-centred care. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents.
We pride ourselves on being able to deliver excellent care to our residents, as a Registered Nurse you will support the management of shifts, ensuring the safety of all residents and our team. The role of Registered Nurse is always evolving and having a commitment to personal and professional development will ensure that you are able to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents and their families.
About this role
Main Responsibilities
Delivering person centred care to each resident
Assess and monitor the physical health of residents within care plans
To offer support and supervise all care staff or new recruits
Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to resident care
Complying with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager

This role is 24 hours night shift.

- Valid UK NMC pin
- Minimum of 6 months nursing experience
- The Right to Work in the UK
- The ability to work independently and supervise a team
- Have a good standard of written and oral English

- A minimum of 6 months nursing experience
- Experience gained in a care home setting
