We are hiring for an Wedding & Events Executive.

About The Connemara Coast

Spectacularly set on the Wild Atlantic Way and the shores of Galway Bay, our luxurious four star Connemara Coast Hotel offers visitors an ideal base from which to explore the spectacular scenery of Connemara and the vibrant city of Galway, a mere 15 minutes away. Responsibilities

1. Wedding & Event Sales

  • Act as a key point of contact for wedding enquiries, supporting the sales process from initial enquiry through to conversion.

  • Conduct showarounds, consultations, and follow-ups to maximise conversion of wedding leads.

  • Work closely with the Wedding & Events Sales Manager to drive wedding business and achieve sales targets.

  • Assist in preparing tailored proposals and packages aligned to client requirements.

  • Support the management of the wedding enquiry pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate tracking of all leads.

  • Respond promptly to meeting and event enquiries via phone, email, and in person.

  • Present hotel facilities and event offerings in a professional and engaging manner.

  • Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings in line with departmental targets.

2. Wedding & Events Coordination:

  • Coordinate weddings and events from confirmation stage through to execution.

  • Liaise with clients, internal teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery.

  • Prepare function sheets and manage event logistics.

  • Provide on-the-day support where required.

3. Social Media Administration & Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to plan and execute social media strategies.

  • Own and manage the hotel's social media accounts, posting regular content across chosen platforms.

  • Track and report on social media performance and adjust strategies accordingly.

4. Review Platform Management and Database Housekeeping

  • Using the hotel review platform, the successful candidate will respond to positive and negative reviews and compile information to disseminate to HOD’s for constructive feedback.

  • Update and maintain the customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Property Management System (PMS) with accurate contact information for companies and organizations.

  • Ensure database is current, organized, and fully functional for sales and event enquiries.

About this role

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with clients.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in coordinating weddings and events.

  • Previous experience in weddings, events, or hospitality sales is highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to manage enquiries, follow up effectively, and convert leads into confirmed bookings.

  • A proactive and customer-focused approach, with a strong commitment to delivering an excellent client experience.

  • Experience in social media management, with a creative flair for content creation is an advantage.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office; experience with Canva, Opera/MOPOSA or similar PMS/CRM systems is an advantage.

  • A positive team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Additional Information:

  • This role will require occasional weekend and evening work depending on event schedules.

  • Training and support will be provided for specific software tools and systems.
