About this role
We are currently recruiting a female Live in Care and Support Worker to support a client in Cromer on a 3 weeks on / 1 week off, or long-term placement.
This role involves living in the client’s home and providing care and support in line with assessed needs. The support provided reflects what would reasonably be offered by a family member and does not include nursing tasks.

Responsibilities
Assist the client with getting up and going to bed, including dressing
Offer emotional support and companionship as needed
Promote mental and physical activity through conversation, reading, hobbies and outings
Prepare meals, support safe food preparation and storage
Make and change beds, carry out light cleaning, laundry and general tidying
Support with medication prompts and encourage independence with self-administration
Maintain written records and participate in reviews where required
Report any changes in the client’s health or circumstances to the Care Manager or Field Care Supervisor
Liaise with family members, professionals and other care staff as directed
Provide night-time support where reasonably required

Required criteria
- Kindness, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others
Desired criteria
- Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
- Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
