Primary Purpose:
To ensure the smooth planning and organisation of the Breakfast service within the Waterside Restaurant and Bar.
Key Responsibilities:
To lead and direct the team in order to reach the objectives and high standards of performance.
To train and develop the breakfast team to deliver a high level of standard.
Oversee and greet morning conferences in the absence of the events manager and Supervisor.
To constantly be aware of the business demands and organise the department to meet cope with those demands
Encourage a good team spirt and promote good communication between staff members in order to maximise customer service and guest experience
To train and develop staff’s awareness of constantly changing guest needs
To continually strive to improve the standards of customer service within the department
To identify potential sales opportunities within the department, ensuring that all staff have a through knowledge of the menu and wine list to maximise sales.
To be fully aware of cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy when cashing up at the close of day
To be aware of variable costing of items with the department, and ensure wastage is kept to a minimum
All stock levels are maintained
Ensure that all staff rotas are produced on a weekly basis and that there is optimum coverage at peak times whilst keeping within planned budgets set by the company.
To undertake any other duties requested by management
To comply with all legal requirements in respect of health, safety and welfare of staff and customers
Ensure all staff of the company attend all relevant training and communication meetings, for which advance notice will normally be given
All staff must attend fire training as required by law, and to be familiar with the departmental responsibilities
Ensure all staff maintain a high level of personal hygiene and within the department at all times

What you will need
Required criteria
- GCSE Maths grade C/4 or above
- Microsoft Excel beginner level
- GCSE English grade C /4 or above
- Experience working in hospitality or events
- Experience of working to service delivery standards
- Experience of reviewing and changing working methods for best practice.
- Customer-service experience.
- Experience of dealing with Customer complaints
- Experience of managing a team Knowledge of correct and effective recruitment practices
Desired criteria
- Willingness to undertake further training.
- Microsoft Excel Intermediate level
- Experience of using Res-Diary; Ez-runner; Rezlinx;
- Experience of coaching and mentoring
- Knowledge of Fourth Hospitality System Coaching and mentoring
