Support worker (Children's Services)

At London Paramount Care, being a Day Support Worker is both challenging and rewarding. You’ll work closely with children and young people who have complex learning difficulties, primarily Autism Spectrum Disorder, providing tailored care and creating a safe, supportive environment.

You’ll play a key role in their daily lives, assisting with personal care, supporting their education, and organising recreational outings. Most importantly, you’ll help create a home where every child feels valued, supported, and able to thrive.

About this role

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide high-quality personal care, medication support, and assistance with daily living.

  • Organise and take part in engaging, age-appropriate social and recreational activities.

  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to develop personalised care plans, encouraging independence and choice.

  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safeguarding policies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Compassionate, patient individuals with the ability to connect with children and young people.

  • Resilience and empathy when managing challenging behaviours.

  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding care.

  • Flexibility to work shifts and the willingness to pursue a Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • A solid understanding of vulnerable adults or child development and children's needs
  • Experience in working with vulnerable people in a residential setting
  • A Level 3 diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Must hold a valid British driving licence and be willing to drive for the company.
